Competition knife, in the making

  • I am making a competion knife.
I am not certified for Bladesports yet, and if I don't 'pass the test , I have a great campknife anyway...:D
    Steel is 1.2510 ( O1 ) 8 mm thick, blade is 250mm and handle is 130mm

    The design on tape:

    Transfer on steel

    Grinding and sawing....a lot!

    Making the ricasso.
If you look closely , you see the centerline.

    So far.

  • Cool, Jan!

This competition knife will be a good campknife as well as a 4x2 killer !! Only in a few seconds!!!

    I'll keep you posted.

    !

  • Thanks, the ponly point is the weight...!

I am used to an axe, but this is completly different on the fore arms when chopping ( I practised a bit , just in the air..

I guess I need to go to the gym , again... :D

  • Nice design. reminds me of the Rambo IV knife..and I like that a LOT

Interesting beltgrinder....self made? isn´t that a little annyoing that you have to stand next to the belt ?

The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten

  • normally I sit hebind the grinder, but this one will have a convex grind on it, so I use the slack part of the belt.

I could put it on some blocks and then I can stand straight...

I am saving money ( hard job with al that nice gear on the internet...) for a KMG grinder
