What's up guys, wanted to show off my latest piece. I got an order from a local police officer to make him a custom pry knife, its about 7 1/2" long, 3/8" thick made of CPM M4. This is a "work in progress" photo, still needs heat treatment and some fine tuning. Also features a glass breaker on the butt of the handle.

A very unique Special-Tool.
Not a handsome knife, but a sophisticated and very usefull design.
-
to me it even looks cool:D
is that a sharpened edge on top or just a design thing? if its sharpened, what is it meant for?
i guess this tip/front edge thing is convex edge? -
At first when I saw your designs a while ago I thought that you are very innovative and unique when it comes to special concepts.
I really like the stuff you have built and shown to us recently. As a frequent user of the Boker/Wilson Tactical co-operation named Böker CopTool I would really like to get my hands on this awesome Pry-Knife.I especially like the modern but still extremely useful looking design of the scales.
The more I stumble across your threads and pics the more I feel the need to contact you for some custom work.
Best regards
Patrick

Major: The secondary edge is sharp, the customer asked for as much cutting area as possible. Ill be adding serrations to the top edge as well.
-
ah ok. just kinda forgot that this is wip. serrations added the top edge starts making sense to me.

Hi, Jason!
Currently, You've two sharp angles (like tips) on both sides of the blunt tip.
You should think about rounding the upper one (a little...).
This has the advantage that You can work far safer in rescue-work with such a knife. For example, You can better work between a hurt person and clothing to cut open the clothes, or between Yourself and safety belts, when there is no danger to slice Yourself with the upper "tip".

A really good-looking knife.
I think it's a good workhorse on most jobs as long as you don't need a real tip.
Comparing it with Wilson etc, it's one of the most harmonic design imho. Thanks for sharing!

Micha, I agree with you 100%, I told the customer the same exact thing but he wanted it a sharp corner. I plan to make a few more and I will definitly round out the top corner. Thanks!

Finally finished it up. Heres a few more pictures...
