Heute Nacht gabs ne E-mail von DPx...
ZitatAlles anzeigenOur first release will be the new DPx HEST/F 2.0, the eagerly awaited update to the sold out HEST Folder. The HEST/F was developed as a direct folding version of the fixed blade and released last year and owners around the world put it to use. They gave us their feedback and as part of our commitment to never stop improving, we have incorporated their suggestions into the design of the 2.0.
We call it the 2.0 because there are a number of significant modifications to this brutal use folder from the first release; however, the pricing remains identical to the original HEST at $175.
The specific changes on the DPx HEST 2.0 are as follows:
Removal of the stainless steel liner and thickening of the G10 scale which reduces the potential for corrosion, strengthens the knife and reduces its weight.
Subtle geometry changes to the pivot, lock point, thrust angle, thumbstud, and heel angle which makes the knife easier to open, strengthens the lock bar and makes it lock harder.
Increased the size of the heel, increased the length of the back spacer and the width of the frame to further increase strength of the knife.
Increased the cut hole for the thumb screw and scalloped the inside of the lock bar.
Redesigned the pocket clip and removed the two holes creating a stronger clip.
The goal was to increase strength without adding weight (we managed to reduce the weight) and directly address concerns about ease of opening, strength of lockup and ease of use.
We think you will find the DPx HEST/F 2.0 the best folder you have ever owned.
Sincerely,
DPx Gear, Inc.
Die Bilder dazu reiche ich später nach, jedoch sind die Bilder nicht wirklich aussagekräftig und an der Optik hat sich auch nicht wirklich was geändert... muss auch nicht unbedingt wie ich finde.
