Strider AR TAC #093, TAD 1st Edition

  • Recently I was so fortunate to ad this Strider AR TAC TAD #093 to my humble collection.
This was the very first generation AR TAD edition and one of the first AR editions over all.
The internet learned me these AR's are just not to be found and so very hard to get.
Don't ask me why, but the old school stuff does it for me, especially with ## :)

As far as I have been able to track some data on this knife, I learned it must be from 2003/2004.

For the rest, here are some pics.

  • Man, I'm sorry to see that!
The very same thing happened to me with an SnG CC and it's tiger stripes!
    ;(
The guy in the knife shop where I'd left it for sharpening told me he didn't know about the angle he'd put on it, said "I always do it freehand".
After the shock had gone, I had the knife stripped and stonewashed and the edge reshaped by Robert (S&RT).
He's a really cool guy and a real professional!
This, however, voids the Strider warranty. Something to consider before you have it done.
My advice today would be: Get used to it, it's probably a real slicer now and some of these fat ass folders come with an edge like that (e.g. Grayman).
After some time, you might even begin to like it!
    Good luck & best wishes,
    Ollie
