P'kals, for me, are the best self defense tool.
If they are made correctly and you know how to use them, its a fast and effective weapon.
I recommend that before you start buying stuff and paying money for knives, get in a course or seminar for the correct use of the "reverse edge" weapons.
This way you can really know if you like them.A reverse edge knife has no sense if you dont know how to use it.
Its like a Karambit. Same principle, if you dont know how to use it you are going to get hurt. Watching videos in Youtube is not enough
Other thing is the way you carry them. There are different methods, this is something you have to try and learn as well.
I have reverse edge knives from Jeremy Horton and Ban Tang. My opinion is that they make the best in the market.
Here are some pics for you:
Ill post more pics for you when I get home.
Here are some links from youtube that you might find interesting:

Thanks for the info guys.
Now I have an idea of what to buy.
What about the ferrocerium?
-
Hello Sirs.
One more time I need your help.
A good friend just got the OK for going into the German Army. As a good luck present I want to give him a knife.
Are they allowd to carry any kind of knife? or is it that it has to be part of the uniform, like a standard knife. I dont even know what they carry.I kind of need specs so I can look up what to get him.
Are they allowd to carry a ferrocerium?....I will like to include that in the package as well.Your coments will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Please, feel free to write in German.

Looks good.
Pics of all those knives will be nice.....

^^Ôk, thanks.
Good luck tomorrow.

Any chance of a pic of the finished product.
Looks good on the table but will like to see more of the knife.
Thanks.

Thank you all for the good info!!
The reason for the convex edge: the knives came original with a convex edge and I want to keep them that way.
-
Hello Tactical friends.
I'm looking for someone that can sharpen two of my knives, with a convex edge, in a way that I can cut with almost no pressure.
Maybe a knife maker with good experience and power tools.
I can do it my self but it just take too long.
I'm talking about an edge like the stuff from Jeremy Horton or Ban Tang. Both sharpen their knives for surgery.
Please, feel free to write in German.
Thanks.

That's funny, they actually make a real copy. They have some skills.
I'm not a real fan from Strider knives as in my opinion they are over priced and I don't like the way these guys do business.
BUT, leaving my opinion at the side: no company, person or artist deserve this kind of thing. No one has the right to steal the ideas or designs from others and profit from them without explicit permission.
Thanks for sharing the video, I found it......illustrative :knueppel:

i think cabra wants the marine version of the sentry stuff - (which are even more disgusting LOL) -.- after using this on a knive, you will never ever cut anything eatable with it anymore (ok, at least one time hrhrhr)
LOL you are right. It stinks and its not eatable, but it works.
BTW: if you have any suggestions for products that work like this, but better, please let me know.
I hate rust with all my heart. -
You could ask here: http://www.modisknivesandgear.…c45_Sentry-Solutions.html
iirc the austrian messerkönig has also got something in stock - just give him a call, he is a pretty smart guy..
the guy at polizeibedarf.ch helped me some years ago finding these marine products while i was based in germany- i think he also got these in stock..Thanks a lot!
I'm on it. -
Can anyone help me find these products in Germany?

This thing is crazy.....
Kind of like a machete fighting knife.
I like it a lot.
