As everything with moving pieces and unsealed, it will get dirty by using it and it may end up acting strange. I don't know much lights which are completely maintenance-free, but some people are lucky and their lights always work when they should, even if they never clean it...
The cleaning process is not that complicated, besides removing the brass-ring you just use a cloth, maybe with alcohol and wipe the piston, threads and contacts off. Then slightly relube with silicone (non petroleum based) grease, if you don't care about o-rings and watertightness any other grease does it as well. Some people simply remove the o-ring from the piston, the piston then works smooth even if a little dirty, no more water protection obviously, if the light os not used in wet conditions, you don't need it.
Okay thanks for the info. I think I can manage that, I have taken apart many knives so I guess this is possible too. I still have some silicone spray so that could work right ?
Anyways, I first need to get it here and then I'll see what need to be done 
My EDC is a Benchmade Rukus or a ZT0302.
Oh and I forgot, I still have 3 Skirmishes, a mini-Skirmish and a ZT0301 all in the USA because they are all being "pimped". The Skirmishes are getting customs scales, the mini Skirmish is getting reground by Nick Rossi (Rossi knives) and the ZT0301 is getting a custom scale + a Tom Krein regrind.
I'm still waiting for Daniel Frazee "Crazy Frazee Forge" friction folder and a Police 3 in G10.

To cut it short : To keep this light in good working condition, you may have to clean the whole piston system and take off the brass ring eventually to clean it as well. If it works, it's a versatile light with enough brightness and a good beam.
I don't think I'm going to try cleaning the whole thing up. I have 0 experience in that so I'll probably just f*** it up. It would be worth around 50 euro's or something right ? I think I might sell it if it doesn't work properly.

I use once every two weeks. I got the ultra fine stone, still need to get the diamond stones though.

I recently bought a Benchmade mini Skirmish and to sweeten the deal I also got a Nitecore D20.
I know alot about knives but absolutely nothing about flashlights. So.....is it any good ?
If you want a cheap user, I think you're better off with SanRenMu. S&W is overpriced and not that good.
I have been told that US troopers can ask for any knife from any brand they wish. About 2 months ago there was a post on an American forum about +/- 15 Strider SMFs that were lost due to a fire.
These were going to be given to Marines.
Like I said, I think they can pick whatever they want so in this case ALL Benchmades.

+ 1 ! I was just going to say that. It's one of the nicest and smalles knives in my collection.
My sports-team had a party last weekend, so we were responsible for the decorations etc.
I took my two cheapest knives with me : a Spyderco Tenacious and a SanRenMu 710. Within minutes of arriving there 3 or 4 people kept on "borrowing" them, so they were put to good use.
Cutting tape and string etc.
Most people know that I carry knives. Mostly there are skeptical but when push comes to shove they're always the first to ask if they can borrow a knife. So I think they know it's a handy tool.
