yep, measurement are correct. Pic is taken in my workhop and the TL light is very bad for taking pictures, so I take them in front of the blade. The camera makes it look out of proportion. Will make a pic outside when the weather is better....

O1, 6 mm. Blade 175 mm, edge 155 mm, handle 125 mm.

The stick is from hazel, this wood grows very straight, although there is a small bend in it, but thats natural. You can straighten it by heating it with steam and clamping it on a board.
Yes, the handle is made out of pieces of G10 , corian etc and they are on a steel rod, which is then put into two holes I drilled in the stick. Like making a sticktang knife.

we use often a stick in our courses, I have several of them. Dont want to cut of a branch every time I am in the field.

when walking in wet terrain, carrying a heavy backpack, a stick is a great tool.

Made this tracking/walking stick from hazel, antler, orange G10, Corian, spacers and some leather bits. Made the bead also myself. Steel point is from an old glue clamp.
