The stick is from hazel, this wood grows very straight, although there is a small bend in it, but thats natural. You can straighten it by heating it with steam and clamping it on a board.
Yes, the handle is made out of pieces of G10 , corian etc and they are on a steel rod, which is then put into two holes I drilled in the stick. Like making a sticktang knife.
we use often a stick in our courses, I have several of them. Dont want to cut of a branch every time I am in the field.
