Working on my cart to turn it into a offroad trailer
Last monday, the sun was shining so I sanded the body and put on coat of baselayer paint and fitted a jerrycan holder with jerrycan.
The wheels ( 13 inch ) and small tyres will be changed in other, more offroad ones
Here I am checking if the new wheels will fit and they dont....so the axle and suspension have to be adapted..
Here a pic of the new tyres, just for the effect.
Next week I will bring the cart to a mate of mine, who will widen the axle and he also makes two.mudguarts.out of checkered aluminium.
More jerrycans will be mounted, an axe and shoffle and more goodies...After all the fitting and check mounting off al the parts, I will paint the body the same colour as mij landrover defender.

not quite,
one was made out of poplar and the other out of ash.
Birch, however, is perfect for this work.
The students took some birch with them out of the forest ( was cut down by forestry, not by us... )all the best,

this trap, the Kletsy trap has it origin in Siberia and is in use for hundreds of years....so I am not doubting abouts its functionallity....but anyone can have their opinion.
This trap can be build in 10 minutes, so thats not very labour consuming , I think.I have been hunting ( legally ) for about 15 years, I know the field, habbits of game etc.
This thread is about Wilderness, shure you can bring a shotgun or a rifle, but in case of survival and you dont have your goodies with you, this is a functional item to build.
Again, I respect anyones opinion and I am not going to start a discussion about the pros and cons about hunting, trapping etc.
all the best,
