This first rate " One of a Kind " piece by the hand of Mr. Alfred Dobner (SE) became my own at the 2013 Dutch Knife Exhibition.

I instantly fell in love with this one, my first Damascus knife after years of tiger stripes and G10.
Blastmaster 1972 (Jos) predicted it, my taste for collector pieces is changing, or evolving if you like.
Thanks to all the talks with my friend Gudy van Poppel I am beginning to appreciate this sort of craftsmanship.

Flawless, full of beautyfull details, very well build, a true heavy full size folding knife.
The hand forged line, which follow the blade shape on through the bolsters, makes it a master piece in my book.
Sweet early lock up, killing perfect file work and the detailed but end with lanyard hole, completed this knife.

Thank You Alfred for making this beautiful knife.
I am proud to call you my friend.

Every once in a while knives become "grails" after you possess them. This has become one of those special pieces.
Even though I was focussed on this particular knife, I tried to hold on to my promises to myself to not buy anymore fixed knives.
Until this beauty caught my eye. I am damn happy and proud to own yet another a full hand made knife by my friend Gudy.

    - Smooth satin finish
    - Fossilized Sea Cow scales
    - Titanium liners
    - Full length Titanium back spacer
    - Bronze spacers
    - Ball bearing system

Thanks for looking, and above all, thank you Gudy,

Just yesterday I got this sparkling new Duane Dwyer Custom Tanto in CPM-3V.
What can I say… just sit back and enjoy this piece of craftsmanship.

The handle has a satin finished titanium standard profile with "ghost flame" stripes titanium lock side.
Contoured G10 scale with Duane's "finger grabber" scallops to make it easier to retreive from your pocket or pouch.
    The blade is hand rubbed.

SMF CC Chisel Tanto & Carbon Fiber

Beautiful satin finish, sweet Carbon Fiber scale, smooth Ti and razor sharp.

She IS perfect, let's keep it short and let the pics do the talk.

    Just say's…

I thought I would make a few Autumn pics to share with you guys (and girls?)
The Titanium colors go so well with Autumn colors, I couldn't resist.

The Shark Fin has a solid Ti back spacer while the Dagger has stand offs.

    Just enjoy... 8)

Number C0037 to be precise... :D

For those who know some about the Strider (SMF) Knives history; no introduction needed.
For those who do not know but want to learn: Strider MARSOC SMF

To me (and I am not on my own) "The SMF" of "All SMF's", is a DET 1.
A true Icon in knife history to me, and next June this baby will have her 10th birthday.

Many, maybe even a few thousands (?) SMF's have been made over the years.
There is only "one" C0037, one of the very first SMF's ever, how F*ing cool.

The DET1 knives are very rare and mostly circulate within the a small group of Striderholics.
The green pouch is also the original pouch the SMF was sold with.

It's razor sharp, it's flawless, dead centered, strongest detent I even had on a SMF.
Flaming, striping, all done by hand... guess who did this?
The LBS was most certainly not needed on this beauty, stiff and solid like a rock.
