Nur mal keine schnellen Urteile. Meines Wissens hatten die Herrschaften alle Sicherheitsvorkehrungen schon getätigt aber mussten noch auf die Lizensen warten, um das https zeugs verwenden zu dürfen.
Ich würde ja gern den genauen Wortlaut der TAD Leute wiedergeben, aber ich hab im USN keinen Zugriff auf die Suchfunktion und finde den Thread so nicht mehr.

Hmmm... eigentlich könnten wir mal mit dem Voten anfangen...
So... wer findet den Untschied? Machen wir ein klassisches Suchbild: Zwei Dinge auf dem Messer haben sich geändert. Das Eine ist markant, das Andere sieht man nicht, merkt man aber. Na? Naaa?
Richtig... etwas gestrahlt und "etwas" geschärft. Gehen wir ins Detail:
Vorher:
Der Vorbesitzer hatte sich Custom Grifschalen draufmachen lassen. Das Genie, das dafür verantwortlich war (übrigens ein höchstrespektierter Pimper in einem uns wohlbekannten amerikanischen Forum) hat ziemlich herum gepfuscht. Zwei der Löcher für die Wicklung wurden fast ums Doppelte ausgebohrt und NICHT entgratet, um die Torxschrauben für die Schalen durch zu bekommen (kleinere Schrauben gabs wohl grad nicht). Das ist alles unter der Wicklung versteckt und wäre Otto Normalverbraucher wahrscheinlich egal, aber mich störts halt. Also erster Auftrag an REVIERLER: Entgraten (so gut es halt geht bei einem gehärteten S30V Stahl).
Des weiteren wurde, nachdem die Griffschalenschalen angebracht waren, das Messer so gestrahlt, das keine Stripes bei den Schalen waren. Schaut nicht schlecht aus, wenn diese oben sind, wenn man sie aber abnimmt hat man jenen hässlichen Strich, den man oben sehen kann.
Also zweite Bitte an REVIERLER: Übergang strahlen.
Drittens: Einen gleichmäßigen Anschliff mit der Tormek.
Und tataaaaa: hier isses nach der Kur bei REVIERLER:
Die Löcher sind entgratet, am Griffstück wurde ein Übergang gestrahlt (ein bisschen sieht man noch die Linie - da merkt man die Hartnäckigkeit von den Stripes) und das Messer ist Sauscharf. Wirklich.... SAUSCHARF! :sharpen:

Ich hoffe, dass niemand hier aus dem Forum direkt betroffen ist. Obwohl ich noch nichts über die neue Homepage bestellt habe, bin ich mal meine Daten durchgegangen. Behaltet eure Abrechnung einfach mal ne zeitlang im Auge.

So... es ist passiert. Manche haben es befürchtet, andere vorhergesehen. Trotz der Bemerkungen von Seiten TAD Gears, dass die Seite sicher sei, wurden Kreditkartendaten und Kundeninformationen gestohlen.
Betroffen sind vor allem Bestellungen, die zwischen 6. August 2009 bis 16. November 2009 getätigt wurden. Anscheinend sind die Behörden schon verständigt und als zusätzliche Sicherheitsmaßnahme muss man bei der Homepage ein neues Passwort sowie einen neuen Benutzernamen beantragen.

Also ich weiß ja ehrlich gesagt nicht, was ich von foliage halten soll. Sicher ist es zivilverträglicher als OD (vor allem hier in Österreich, wo das Heer so ne Art olivgrüne Uniformen hat) aber es will mir doch nicht so recht gefallen.
Hier ein Vergleich: Links OD, Mittig foliage und Rechts Ranger Green (wobei das RG je nach Lichtverhältnissen auch grüner ist)
Und daß die Striders bisweilen auch Wert auf die Meinung ihrer Kunden legen, zeigt ganz prima das Beispiel ZM, das ganz speziell für die "German guys" entwickelt wurde.
Du... das dringt nicht so ganz zu mir durch. Ich seh im USN immer nur die Threads, in denen über Nebensächliches diskutiert wird. Solche Sachen wie Slipjoints für den europäischen Markt oder das mit dem ZM hab ich nicht registriert.
Hilft nur eines... vorschlagen. Ein Slipjoint SNG klingt interessant.
Aber wenn es sowas wird, wie am anfang des Thread gepostet wurde, dann könnte man ja zwei Größen machen. Eine für die armen Briten und die nächstgrößere für den Rest von Europa. Is halt nur die Frage, ob die wirklich soviel Wert auf unsere Meinung legen.
Tut mir leid... ich finde den Thread nicht mehr. Und nachdem ich keine bezahlte Mitgliedschaft habe und somit keine Suchfunktion nützen kann, wird es wohl ein wenig länger dauern.

So wie ich die Typen von TAD verstanden habe, sind alle Sicherheitsvorkehrunge getroffen worden, sie haben nur noch nicht die Erlaubnis es anzugeben?!

Zum ATS RAID II nur soviel... Schwarz wurde noch nicht produziert. Wenn es eine Auflage von schwarzen RAIDs gibt, dann nur in geringer Stückzahl; davon wird es dann aber ein paar beim Supplycaptain geben. Momentan gibt es von dem Rucksack nur Multicam, Coyote und demnächst Ranger Green.
