Hey kwakster,
I took a look at their knives at IWA show and handled some of them. They look very well made. A nice finish and the handles are also well made. Also talked to the guys from sandrin about how brittle they are.
But im not too sure about the carbid blades.
I wouldnt trust them as a user knife. to me it seems they are too brittle for a user knife but are really sharp.
Also with 71 HRC i can imagine that the blade is a pain in the butt to resharpen if needed.
For normal use like preparing food or braging and showing off ok. but for really using them i wouldnt feel comfortable.
But thats just me. I like to carry knives that can take some hard use. Just some minutes ago i cut 3 steelbands to open a big wood shipping container with my "maze flipper" and a rubber mallot.
The m390 blade is fine and still sharp. Try that with a carbide blade and you are probably in trouble..
but thats just my 2 cents.
